William Hill to Operate SportsBook at Downtown Grand Casino & Hotel

Book to feature UK-style storefront and dedicated entrance on Third Street

LAS VEGAS (May 14, 2013) – The next major casino project to open in Las Vegas will feature a new William Hill Sports Book under a long term agreement with Fifth Street Gaming, developer and operator of the Downtown Grand Casino & Hotel. The property is expected to open in September on Downtown3rd, a unique pedestrian district located on 3rd Street between Stewart and Ogden.

The new sports book will have a William Hill storefront and dedicated entrance on Downtown3rd, with an outdoor look similar to William Hill’s 2,400 betting shops in the UK. It will be adjacent to “The Spread” an authentic New York-style deli featuring hand-carved corned beef, thick rye bread, and house-made pickles.

In addition, William Hill will provide Downtown Grand customers access to its cutting edge technology, including its mobile sports wagering application, available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices. William Hill will also install a self-service wagering kiosk at Downtown Grand.

“We are pleased to partner with Fifth Street Gaming and be a part of the Downtown3rd Project,” William Hill CEO Joe Asher said.  “Downtown Las Vegas is undergoing an exciting transformation and Downtown Grand and other new businesses nearby will bring many new customers to the area. We look forward to providing them the best sports betting product available in Nevada.”

“William Hill is the industry leader in sports book operations,” Fifth Street Gaming CEO Seth Schorr said.  “We know our guests will enjoy the opportunity to place a bet directly on 3rd street in the center of Downtown3rd.”
