William Hill to operate Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe Sports Book

STATELINE, Nev., (September 24, 2014) – South Lake Tahoe will soon become sports central when William Hill, the world’s leading sports betting company, teams with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe to operate the new resort and casino’s sports book.

Sports fans will have a one-stop-shop for watching and wagering on all of their favorite games in the luxury of the William Hill Sports Book at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Guests will enjoy a high tech and comfortable viewing experience including:

  • A high definition video wall showing the most popular sporting events and continuously updated InPlay wagering lines;
  • 40 televisions airing the day’s top games, teams and sporting events;
  • A self-service wagering kiosk allowing guests to make their favorite wagers around the clock;
  • Guests can also sign up for William Hill’s market-leading mobile betting app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices in order to bet anywhere in Nevada.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THIS AGREEMENT, WILLIAM HILL MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE IF ILLINOIS EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-41 EXPIRES, IS TERMINATED, ENDED OR WITHDRAWN, OR HELD INVALID.  

Executive Order 2020-41 states in pertinent part that “During the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, the provisions in the Sports Wagering Act, 230 ILCS 45/25-30(f), 25-35(f), and 25-40(i) requiring in-person creation of a sports wagering account at a facility authorized pursuant to the Act in order to participate in sports wagering offered over the internet or through a mobile application, are suspended.”
