WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational Early Odds: Thomas, DeChambeau Co-Favorites in Stacked Field

Nine of the top-10 ranked golfers in the world will be among those battling on the green this week, as the next stop of the PGA Tour starts Thursday.

William Hill has odds posted for 78 golfers for the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, which takes place at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.

There are two co-favorites atop the board, as Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau are each 10/1. No. 1-ranked Jon Rahm is next at 11/1, followed by Rory McIlroy at 12/1.

Thomas has drawn the largest wager for the event as of now at William Hill, as a Nevada bettor put down $833.33 on Thomas 12/1 for a total potential payout of $10,833.30.

Brooks Koepka won last year’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, besting second-place finisher Webb Simpson by three strokes. Koepka currently has the eighth-lowest odds this time around at 22/1.

One New Jersey William Hill bettor is banking on a repeat, as a $550 wager was placed on Koepka 30/1 for a total potential payout of $17,050.

The largest potential payout thus far, though, has come in on a golfer who had a very disappointing showing in the last PGA Tour event.

Dustin Johnson was the 11/1 favorite in this past week’s 3M Open, however he withdrew with a back injury after shooting 7-over par (78) in the first round.

Yet a Nevada bettor believes Johnson is due to bounce back in a big way, putting down $600 on Johnson 35/1 for a total potential payout of $21,600. Johnson is now listed at 25/1, tied for the ninth-lowest odds with Collin Morikawa.
