UFC Fight Night Odds, Trends: Underdog Getting Love in Figueiredo/Benavidez Headliner

It’s another Saturday night from Fight Island, as there are 12 bouts on tap for UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2.

This weekend’s headliner is a title fight for the vacant flyweight belt. Figueiredo defeated Benavidez back in February, however didn’t receive the championship belt because he missed weight.

Figueiredo is currently the -215 favorite at William Hill, however, bettors are favoring Benavidez in the rematch. Benavidez (+185) has gotten 69% of the total number of tickets and 68% of the total dollars wagered.

Yet, it’s another underdog who leads the entire card in both categories.

Brett Johns is down to +175 against Montel Jackson (-190) in a prelim showdown after opening at +220. The big reason why? William Hill bettors are backing Johns with 73% of the total number of tickets and 93% of the total dollars wagered.

On the other side of the spectrum, one of the biggest favorites for this weekend’s Fight Night has been drawing the largest wagers thus far at William Hill.

Only Joseph Duffey (-340) is bigger chalk than Grant Dawson (-250), and Dawson has generated significant interest in his battle vs. Nad Narimani (+210).

He’s captured 92% of the total dollars wagered along with 52% of the total number of tickets. That includes the three biggest bets for this entire card, highlighted by one Nevada bettor putting down $28,000 on Dawson -280 for a total potential payout of $38,000.

Meanwhile, Narimani has attracted the biggest underdog moneyline wager as of now at William Hill. Another Nevada bettor placed $3,000 on Narimani +240 for a total potential payout of $10,200.
