NASCAR’s Cup Series is making a pit stop tonight at Kansas Speedway for the Super Start Batteries 400.
William Hill has futures odds up for 40 drivers for this evening’s race, with Kevin Harvick atop the board.
Harvick, who enters as the current Cup Series points leader, is the 3/1 favorite to win his fifth race of the season. Chase Elliott is next at 5/1, followed by Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch at 13/2 and 7/1 odds respectively.
Elliott originally opened at 17/2, and has shifted to the second-lowest odds thanks to the amount of action he’s generated from William Hill bettors.
He leads all drivers with 7% of the total number of tickets and 20% of the total dollars wagered to win the Super Start Batteries 400. That includes a Nevada bettor putting down $1,000 on Elliott 17/2 for a total potential payout of $9,500.
Behind Elliott in total number of tickets are Martin Truex Jr. (8/1) and Brad Keselowski (12/1), who have each attracted 6%. Keselowski won last year’s Super Start Batteries 400, and is the only driver ever to have two first-place finishes for this race.
For total dollars wagered, Alex Bowman (22%) ranks second at 9%, with Blaney and Truex Jr. both receiving 7%.
The past two Cup Series races have been won by a pair of long shots. Cole Custer (250/1) captured the checkered flag at the Quaker State 400, while Austin Dillon (100/1) was victorious the following week at the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500.
Another driver with substantial odds has drawn noteworthy action for tonight’s race. Chris Buescher opened at 500/1, and is now down to 250/1 after getting 3% of the total number of tickets along with 3% of the total dollars wagered.
William Hill also has 10 head-to-head matchups available for the Super Start Batteries 400, highlighted by Harvick (-180) vs. Busch (+160) and Elliott (-120) vs. Truex Jr. (EVEN).
