Results, Trends for William Hill’s 2020 WNBA Draft Props

The 2020 WNBA draft was a special night for so many players, starting with the New York Liberty landing Oregon superstar Sabrina Ionescu with the first pick. William Hill released nine WNBA draft props this week in New Jersey, and here were the results and trends from those bets on the board.

Satou Sabally went one pick after her former teammate, as the Oregon forward was selected by the Dallas Wings at No. 2. Sabally opened as -150 chalk at William Hill to be the second pick in the draft, and closed at -500. She received 83% of the total number of tickets on this prop.

Baylor’s Lauren Cox and Texas A&M’s Chennedy Carter closed as the favorites to be selected with the third and fourth picks respectively, and that’s where each ended up going. The newest Indiana Fever star attracted 57% of the total number of tickets to go third. Meanwhile, 33% of the total number of tickets correctly had the Atlanta Dream picking Carter (-175) fourth.

William Hill had six player draft position props available: Megan Walker (5.5), Tyasha Harris (6.5), Te’a Cooper (8.5), Crystal Dangerfield (8.5), Ruthy Hebard (8.5) and Beatrice Mompremier (8.5).

Only Hebard went under her draft position odds, as she was taken eighth by the Chicago Sky.

Over 5.5 on Walker’s draft position odds closed at +160. Bettors were intrigued by the plus-money price, as that side received 86% of the total number of tickets. The Liberty selected her with the ninth pick, with the over cashing in the process.
