Now there are 14 games on tap today, with only the Yankees and Nationals getting an off day. The first game of the day is the Braves traveling to the Big Apple to take on the Mets at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
Behind ace and two-time Cy Young recipient Jacob deGrom, New York is -160 chalk against its National League East rival while the total is set at 7.5. Another New Jersey bettor put down $1,650 on an alternative line of Mets -1 (EVEN) for a total potential payout $3,300.
Another intriguing NL pitching matchup takes place in San Diego. Starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner will be making his Diamondbacks (+135) debut going up against the Padres promising youngster Chris Paddack (-145).
The largest MLB wager taken thus far for today’s games came in on an interleague showdown, where a Nevada bettor put $3,300 on Reds -175 for a potential total payout of $5,185.70. Cincinnati is currently a -170 favorite against the Tigers (+155).
In the American League, the Astros are the biggest favorite on the board for today’s slate at -280. The defending AL pennant winners square off vs. the Mariners (+240), with Justin Verlander taking the mound for the home team.
