The 2020-21 NFL regular season schedule was just released, and that means football fans will be analyzing whether their team has a manageable path toward the playoffs for this upcoming campaign.
Using William Hill’s NFL regular season win totals, we’ve come up with which teams have the easiest and toughest home, road and overall schedules. Reminder, William Hill’s win total market does not exactly add up to 256 wins (the maximum number of wins in an NFL regular season).
The Falcons face the steepest uphill battle this season, according to William Hill’s win totals. Atlanta has the toughest overall schedule, as it faces a combined opponent win total of 138, including a league-high 73 combined opponent win total for its road games.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Colts have the easiest projected slate, as their 16 opponents have a combined win total of 123. Indianapolis is the only team that finished in the bottom five for both fewest home and away combined opponent win totals.
The Falcons may have the toughest road schedule, but their NFC South foe has the most challenging one at home. The Saints’ eight home opponents combine for a win total of 71, just edging out the Raiders and Broncos at 70.5 apiece.
For easiest home schedule, that would belong to the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs at a 59 combined opponent win total. And it’s a tie between two NFC North teams for friendliest road gauntlet, as the Lions and Bears each face eight opponents with a 59.5 combined win total.
