WILLIAM HILL TO OPERATE SPORTSBOOKS AT SILVER LEGACY AND CIRCUS CIRCUS RENO

New race and sports books will present an enhanced sports viewing and wagering experience;
Expands long-standing relationship between William Hill and Eldorado Resorts, Inc.

RENO, NEVADA (May 9, 2016) – William Hill, the world’s leading sports betting company, and Eldorado Resorts, Inc., a leading casino entertainment company, have entered in a long-term agreement for William Hill to significantly upgrade and operate the race and sports books at the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus Resort Casinos in Reno.

Coming this football season (subject to regulatory approval) the all-new 7,200 square foot William Hill Race & Sports Book at the Silver Legacy will feature a new sports bar, state-of-the-art video wall technology for viewing of sporting events and live InPlay betting odds. A jumbo high-definition video wall across the width of the sports book will provide a panoramic viewing experience.

The race and sports book at Circus Circus Reno will also be undergoing a major renovation, including upgraded sports viewing with state of the art big screen TVs and a new sports bar and lounge.  The Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus have over 220,000 square feet of world class gaming, including the race and sports books and live poker.  Eldorado Resorts, Inc. since taking full ownership, is investing in Silver Legacy and Circus Circus by way of room upgrades, new dining attractions, and new casino floor improvements, furthering the growth of the downtown Reno market.

William Hill has operated the neighboring Eldorado Resort Casino’s race and sports book since entering the Nevada market in 2012, and a predecessor to William Hill had been operating at the Eldorado for many years prior.  

William Hill features Nevada’s largest wagering menu, including the best parlay card payouts in Nevada and live continuous InPlay wagering on football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THIS AGREEMENT, WILLIAM HILL MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE IF ILLINOIS EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-41 EXPIRES, IS TERMINATED, ENDED OR WITHDRAWN, OR HELD INVALID.  

Executive Order 2020-41 states in pertinent part that “During the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, the provisions in the Sports Wagering Act, 230 ILCS 45/25-30(f), 25-35(f), and 25-40(i) requiring in-person creation of a sports wagering account at a facility authorized pursuant to the Act in order to participate in sports wagering offered over the internet or through a mobile application, are suspended.”
