William Hill Announces Sports Book Partnership with Tropicana Evansville New William Hill Sports Book to Open in September for Football Season

LAS VEGAS (August 21, 2019) – William
Hill is launching its 143rd U.S. sports book at Tropicana Evansville, which is owned by Eldorado Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ: ERI), in September, pending approval by the Indiana Gaming Commission. The sports book, which is a remodel of the current 421 Lounge, is scheduled to open in time for football season and is the first Indiana sports book for William Hill. 

The state-of-the-art sports book will feature a 16’ x 9’ ft. video wall, ten 65-inch viewing monitors, and 12 odds boards which will provide sports fans with comfortable places to watch sports with friends and bet on the games. 

The William Hill Sports Book will integrate 421’s existing bar while re imagining and transforming the lounge to create the ultimate sports betting experience for fans. The book will be located just off the casino
floor, steps away from the entrance to the hotel and Downtown Evansville’s only 24-hour restaurant, The DELI.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THIS AGREEMENT, WILLIAM HILL MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE IF ILLINOIS EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-41 EXPIRES, IS TERMINATED, ENDED OR WITHDRAWN, OR HELD INVALID.  

Executive Order 2020-41 states in pertinent part that “During the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, the provisions in the Sports Wagering Act, 230 ILCS 45/25-30(f), 25-35(f), and 25-40(i) requiring in-person creation of a sports wagering account at a facility authorized pursuant to the Act in order to participate in sports wagering offered over the internet or through a mobile application, are suspended.”
