UFC Fight Night: Odds Released for 11 Bouts, Including Brunson-Shahbazyan Headliner

After spending July in Fight Island, UFC makes its return to Vegas this weekend to kick off its August schedule.

William Hill has odds up for 11 bouts slated for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, which will be live from UFC Apex on Saturday night.

The headliner is a match between two top-10 middleweight contenders, as No. 8 Derek Brunson will take on No. 9 Edmen Shahbazyan. Despite the lower ranking, Shahbazyan is currently a -320 favorite over Brunson at William Hill and is tied for the biggest favorite on the card.

Shahbazyan (11-0) will enter undefeated, and has recorded first-round finishes in 10 of his 11 fights. That includes a first-round KO victory over Brad Tavares in his last fight back in November.

Meanwhile, Brunson (20-7) is on a two-match winning streak, beating Ian Heinisch and Elias Theodorou both by unanimous decision.

In the co-main event, Joanne Calderwood is a -180 favorite over Jennifer Maia (+160). Calderwood was supposed to get a title shot against current flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko in June, however the bout was called off following Shevchenko’s knee injury.

Another fight on the main card has attracted an early notable bet on the underdog. Randy Brown is +160 against Vicente Luque, and one Nevada bettor put down $1,150 on Brown +165 for a total potential payout of $3,047.50.
