UFC 258 Latest Odds, Trends for Usman-Burns, Rest of Card

Bet UFC with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.

UFC is back in Las Vegas, and it isn’t wasting any time delivering a tremendous card in Sin City.

A welterweight title bout between current champion Kamaru Usman and No. 1-ranked contender Gilbert Burns headlines the 12 slated fights for Saturday’s UFC 258.

“Usman-Burns is going to be huge, and the rest of the card looks pretty solid,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill US. “It probably won’t do [Conor] McGregor numbers, but it’ll still be a monster.”

Usman opened as the -240 favorite at William Hill for this main event with Burns at +200 to pull off the upset. Now Usman sits at -270 and Burns is priced at +230. The total for this fight is set at 4.5, as the over is favored at -140 and the under is +120.

“The sharps bet Usman up early, but we’re pretty even so far,” Bogdanovich said. “I think it’ll be good two-way action the whole way. There will be a ton of parlays to Usman and probably more straight bets on Burns I would guess. Burns is one of those super live dogs, he’s tough. I can’t wait to watch this one.”

William Hill bettors are divided on this matchup thus far. Burns has the edge in total number of tickets at 53%, yet Usman has the advantage in total dollars wagered at 71%.

Notable wagers have come in on each fighter as well. A Nevada bettor laid $54,000 on Usman -270 for a total potential payout of $74,000, while another Nevada bettor put down $20,000 on Burns +230 for a total potential payout of $66,000. Those are the two largest UFC 258 bets taken thus far at William Hill.

The co-main event has seen some line movement as well. Alexa Grasso was first listed at -140 over Maycee Barber (+120) in their flyweight showdown. Grasso is now down to -120 and Barber is at even-money odds.

William Hill bettors are aligned on the underdog here, with Barber attracting 69% of the total number of tickets and 87% of the total dollars wagered. Barber is one of two underdogs to be getting the majority of the action in both categories as of now on the UFC 258 card, as Polyana Viana (+125 against Mallory Martin) also fits the bill.

Only one fighter has attracted at least 80% for both total number of tickets and total dollars wagered in their fight. Rodolfo Vieira is the second-biggest favorite on the card at -380 against Anthony Hernandez, which only trails Belal Muhammad at -410 vs. Dhiego Lima. Vieira has captured a UFC 258-leading 81% of the total number of tickets as well as 83% of the total dollars wagered. Bobby Green, who is priced at -260 vs. Jim Miller, ranks first in total dollars wagered at 91%.
