Tuesday Night Pro Football: Buffalo vs. Tennessee Preview

Bet NFL with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.

For just the second time since 1946, there will be a live NFL game on our television screens on a Tuesday night.

In December 2010, there was Eagles vs. Vikings battling the day after Monday. Now nearly 10 years later, an AFC clash between the Bills (4-0) and Titans (3-0) is taking place tonight at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CBS. This showdown was moved to Tuesday night due to the Tennessee dealing with several positive COVID-19 cases.

“It’s been weird setting a line for this game,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill US. “Personally, I had it closer to pick’em. It’s strange that there’s been this much of an adjustment. Maybe people think Tennessee will be more in disarray than expected or will end up without a key player or two tonight. It was as high as Buffalo -3.5, though it’s starting to come back down. Bills have looked pretty good, but it looks a little inflated to me.”

The Bills are now 3-point road favorites (-175 moneyline) at William Hill for tonight, with the total set at 52. Besides the spread shifting half a point to its current number, the total has dropped a point from 53 to 52.

“There’s been good action on the game,” said Bogdanovich. “I don’t think we’ll need one side or the other. The nice thing is, since the game has been off the board for so long, there not a lot of built-in liability one way or the other. So it’s like booking a game fresh, which is a plus.

“The tail end of an NFL week usually you have a ton of liability going into the Sunday and Monday night games just because of any parlays that are still alive. Since this game was just put up, there isn’t that same liability.”

For the spread and total, William Hill bettors are certainly divided between the dueling undefeated teams.

The Bills have generated 75% of the total number of tickets among all spread bets for this game, however the Titans have attracted 63% of the total dollars wagered. That includes one Nevada bettor placing $110,000 on Titans +3.5 (-110) for a total potential payout of $210,000, the biggest wager for tonight as of now at William Hill.

For all total wagers in this contest, the under has received 54% of the total number of tickets, yet the over has gotten 52% of the total dollars wagered.
