Toyota 500 Odds, Trends: Bettors Backing Another Win for Kevin Harvick

In NASCAR’s Cup Series return this past Sunday, Kevin Harvick (8/1 odds) captured the checkered flag at the Darlington 400. Can Harvick pull off a second consecutive win in tonight’s Toyota 500 at Darlington Raceway?

Harvick is now the 9/2 favorite at William Hill after he closed with the fifth-lowest odds for last weekend’s race. The Cup Series points leader also is tops among all drivers in total dollars wagered for the Toyota 500 at 15%, as well as racking up 7% of the total number of tickets.

A driver further down the board, however, leads the way in total number of tickets. Jimmie Johnson is tied for the 10th-lowest odds at 17/1, yet the legendary racer has still attracted 9% of the total number of tickets.

The biggest wager placed at William Hill for the Toyota 500 was on Martin Truex Jr., who currently is tied with the second-lowest odds at 13/2 with Kyle Busch. A Nevada bettor put down $1,000 on Truex Jr. back when he was priced at 8/1, which could result in a total payout of $9,000.

Overall, Truex Jr. has received 13% of the total dollars wagered and 5% of the total number of tickets.

Check out William Hill’s latest odds and trends for the Toyota 500 below, including a few of the nine head-to-head matchups available for the race in Nevada and New Jersey. You can watch the event tonight at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Fox Sports 1.
