Bet NFL with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.
As we inch closer to the opening round of the NFL postseason this weekend, the odds have been changing since William Hill first posted them on Sunday night.
Four of the six Wild Card spreads have moved by at least a point, including one that has shifted by 2.5 points. Three totals have swung by at least a point as well, and they’ve all gone in the same direction.
Let’s start with the biggest spread movement this week, which belongs to a battle between AFC North rivals. The Steelers and Browns are meeting for the third time this season, and Pittsburgh opened as a 3.5-point home favorite.
The line had already jumped to Steelers -4.5 before it was announced that a few Browns tested positive for COVID-19, including head coach Kevin Stefanski and Pro Bowl offensive lineman Joel Bitonio. Now the Steelers are 6-point favorites over the Browns at William Hill.
Two other spreads have gone up as well, with the Saints moving from -9 to -10 hosting the Bears on Sunday and the Buccaneers now being an 8.5-point road favorite from -7.5 on Saturday night against Washington.
The one line that has moved in the underdog’s favor is another divisional clash. The Rams were first listed as 5-point underdogs at the Seahawks in the third and final showdown between these NFC West foes. Even with injury uncertainty regarding starting quarterback Jared Goff, Los Angeles is currently at +3.5 in Seattle.
Three totals have also seen a noticeable shift thus far this week. The biggest change comes in the Buccaneers at Washington game, where that total has dropped 1.5 points from 46.5 to 45. Additionally, Colts at Bills has gone from 52.5 to 51.5 and Bears at Saints is at 47 after opening at 48.
Not all totals have gone in the under’s direction, though, as Browns at Steelers (46.5 to 47) and Ravens at Titans (54.5 to 55) have each increased by half a point from the original number.
