Bet NFL with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.
Even when there aren’t any games on, the NFL can still shake up the sports world on a Sunday.
The Falcons traded star wide receiver Julio Jones and a 2023 sixth-round pick yesterday to the Titans in exchange for a 2022 second-round pick and 2023 fourth-round pick. Jones had spent his first 10 NFL seasons in Atlanta, where he was a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro over that span.
Now the Titans add the dynamic pass-catcher to a receiving corps that already includes A.J. Brown, forming one of the best duos in the league.
Tennessee was listed at 40/1 at William Hill Nevada to win the 2022 Super Bowl before acquiring the 32-year-old wideout. Now the Titans are down to 30/1, whereas the Falcons didn’t budge from there 75/1 price.
“Someone bet 40/1 like it meant something, I didn’t adjust it off the news whatsoever,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill US. “I don’t think a wide receiver alone is worth that type of shift, and it’s hard to trust Julio to stay healthy. Julio is a great player, but he’s been beat up and he’s older now. If he gives them 17 games, he’s going to mean something, but he’s definitely not the favorite to play the entire season.”
A pair of bets on Titans 40/1 to win the Super Bowl were made at the same Las Vegas William Hill sportsbook yesterday and late May, with the total potential payout on each at $98,400.
Meanwhile, the Titans’ AFC odds went from 20/1 to 18/1, their AFC South division odds are down to +130 from +140 and the over on the Titans’ win total of 9.5 swung from +130 to +115 (the under is still the -135 favorite).
On the other end, another Nevada bettor put $2,500 on Falcons under 7.5 (even-money odds) for a total potential payout of $5,000. That is the largest under wager on the Falcons win total taken thus far at William Hill.
The largest over wager came on a $10,000 bet on Falcons over 7 (-160) in Nevada as well for a total potential payout of $16,250, which is tied for the biggest 2021-22 NFL win total bet at William Hill. Another $10,000 bet came in on Bills over 10.5 (-145).
