The next four days will have plenty of preseason pigskin, as the first of 16 NFL preseason Week 2 contests takes place tonight.
The Eagles host the Patriots in this Northeastern encounter at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on NFL Network. Two young quarterbacks will be getting in their fair share of reps, as Eagles second-year dual-threat Jalen Hurts and Patriots first-round rookie signal-caller Mac Jones will both be under center.
Philadelphia lost its inaugural 2021 preseason affair against the Steelers by a 24-16 score, whereas New England emerged victorious in theirs after defeating Washington 22-13.
The Eagles opened as a 2-point home underdog at William Hill Nevada, however that line has dropped since. Philadelphia (-110 on the moneyline) is now at pick’em against New England (-110 ML). The total is back at its original number of 38.5 after briefly going to 38 earlier today.
William Hill bettors have been extremely divided so far about which team will cover the number and win the game outright.
The Patriots have the advantage with 64% of the total number of tickets among all spread bets in tonight’s clash, yet the Eagles have the edge with 53% of the total dollars wagered.
That includes one Nevada bettor putting down $2,200 on Eagles +1.5 (-110) for a total potential payout of $4,200, and another Nevada bettor laying $1,650 on Eagles +2 (-110) for a total potential payout of $3,150. Those are the two largest wagers for Patriots vs. Eagles as of now at William Hill.
Meanwhile for moneyline, it’s as even as it gets with each team collecting 50% for both the total number of tickets and total dollars wagered.
After unders went 14-2 in Week 1 of NFL preseason action, William Hill bettors are aligned on that side of the total for tonight. The under has captured 81% of the total number of tickets and 66% of the total dollars wagered.
