NBA Finals Game 4: Lakers vs. Heat Preview

Facing a 2-0 deficit, the Heat rallied behind Jimmy Butler’s incredible performance for a crucial Game 3 victory over the Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Miami will look to tie the series in Game 4 tonight at 9:05 p.m. ET/6:05 p.m. PT on ABC, but do William Hill bettors think the Heat can win two in a row against the Lakers?

“Game 3 was a monster handle,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill US. “We actually won more on that game this past Sunday than any NFL game that day. It’s been really lopsided on the Lakers for the first three games. We’ll still need the Heat tonight, but the money is like a 3:1 ratio, and the previous games it was a lot higher.”

The Lakers are currently 8-point favorites (-335 moneyline) at William Hill for this showdown after opening at -7.5. Meanwhile, the Heat are +275 to win Game 4 outright and the total resides at 219.

William Hill bettors are siding Los Angeles to come out on top tonight. The Lakers have attracted 64% of the total number of tickets and 64% of the total dollars wagered among all spread bets vs. the Heat. Additionally, the Lakers have brought in 63% of the total number of tickets and 82% of the total dollars wagered for all moneyline bets in tonight’s matchup.

The Lakers have also drawn the largest Game 4 wager as of now at William Hill. A Nevada bettor placed $14,000 on Lakers -7.5 (-110) for a total potential payout of $26,727.25.

The total has stayed put at its 219.5 opener, however the over is still generating the majority of the action. The over has received 75% of the total number of tickets and 55% of the total dollars wagered.
