Longer Lines in Vegas Sportsbooks than anywhere else

BY JIMMY VACCARO

Black Friday is over. How did you fare?

Did you get all the bargains you wanted at the window or are you looking to return some items? Whatever the case, you saw longer lines in the books than you saw at Target or any other chain.

It will continue this week as we get into conference championship games. The opening and closing numbers will not be a shock as we have seen in 13 weeks of results. A few good matchups remain for regular season finales, but the interest will be the title matchups.

The “who will play Notre Dame” will draw the biggest handle. We hoped this would be the late game but that won’t happen. We will be drawn for the right reasons to book and bet these games, but remember, from next Saturday it will be at least a month until we see these top tier teams take the field.

The Weedeater Bowl will come in the middle of December, not sounding like the strong anticipated matchups we all want to see. Take your stand in a few days, do your window shopping for a few weeks. Buy early or late, but just do it at the right price.

Take care, Jimmy V.
