College Football Week 3: Early Lines, Notable Bets

Another intriguing college football slate is on tap for Saturday, including our first top-25 clash of the season.

William Hill has spreads posted for 18 Week 3 games, headlined by a ranked ACC showdown featuring No. 17 Miami (FL) traveling to No. 18 Louisville.

The Hurricanes and Cardinals each covered their season openers, with Miami (-15.5) beating UAB 31-14 and Louisville (-13) defeating Western Kentucky 35-21.

For Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT), Louisville is a 2.5-point home favorite over Miami at William Hill.

The biggest favorites on the board are two other ranked ACC teams. No. 12 North Carolina is 29.5-point chalk hosting Charlotte, while No. 7 Notre Dame is listed at -26 against USF in South Bend.

A few ranked teams are playing in their first game of the season, including No. 11 Oklahoma State and No. 12 UCF. The Cowboys are 23-point favorites at home over Tulsa, while the Knights are 7.5-point road chalk at Georgia Tech.

One William Hill Nevada bettor is bullish on UCF getting off to a fast start for its 2020-21 campaign, placing $3,300 on UCF -7 (-110) for a total potential payout of $6,300.

Two other teams have also drawn $3,300 bets for Week 3’s action, which is tied for the largest wager thus far at William Hill.

Middle Tennessee State +3.5 and Texas State -3 were the other recipients of those early notable bets. Middle Tennessee State is now +3 against Troy, while Texas State’s current number is -5 against Louisiana-Monroe.

Texas State vs. Louisiana-Monroe is the biggest line move for Week 3’s slate so far, as Texas State has gone from -2 to -5. The other noteworthy shifts as of now is Houston vs. Baylor (Baylor -6.5 to Baylor -4.5) and Charlotte vs. North Carolina (North Carolina -27.5 to -29.5).
