College Football Week 14: Latest Odds, Trends

Bet college football with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.

There are several intriguing college football contests in Week 14, including a newly created top-25 showdown that was organized this week.

So which contenders do William Hill bettors think will continue their strong finish to the year? And which underdogs are attracting action to potentially spoil someone’s season?

Let’s start with the buzzworthy matchup of No. 13 BYU vs. No. 18 Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina was supposed to play Liberty this weekend, however that game was cancelled due to Liberty dealing with COVID-19 issues. Now a pair of 9-0 teams square off instead, with the line currently at BYU -10.

William Hill bettors aren’t afraid to lay double digits against an undefeated team, as BYU is capturing 75% of the total number of tickets and 92% of the total dollars wagered among all spread bets vs. Coastal Carolina.

One affair where the underdog is getting love is the Big Ten battle between No. 12 Indiana and No. 16 Wisconsin. Even with the Hoosiers losing their quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for the season, William Hill bettors believe that getting 14 points against the Badgers is worth it. Indiana is bringing in 76% of the total number of tickets and 89% of the total dollars wagered in that one.

One other Week 14 underdog is attracting the majority of the total number of tickets and total dollars wagered in their top-25 matchup thus far. Navy is a 12-point home underdog against No. 24 Tulsa, yet the Midshipmen are getting 60% of the total number of tickets and 79% of the total dollars wagered.

There are quite a few popular Week 14 favorites as well. No. 3 Clemson is a 22-point road favorite over Virginia Tech, and the Tigers lead all top-25 teams with 94% of the total number of tickets against the spread. No. 21 Marshall is laying 23 points at home over Rice, and is taking in 97% of the total dollars wagered to boot.

The only team to get at least 90% in each category? That would be No. 6 Florida (-17.5) as the Gators travel to Knoxville for a rivalry showdown with Tennessee. Florida is receiving 90% for both total number of tickets and total dollars wagered.

Regarding the biggest Week 14 college football spread bets taken as of now at William Hill, four $16,500 wagers were placed on the following sides for total potential payouts of $31,500 apiece: No. 25 UL Lafayette +3 (-110) at Appalachian State, No. 5 Texas A&M -6.5 (-110) at Auburn, Penn State -10 (-110) at Rutgers and Bowling Green +3 (-110) at Akron.
