Champions League Final: Bayern Munich vs. Paris Saint-Germain Preview, Odds

Two star-studded teams collide on the pitch in the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League final, as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain will battle this Sunday.

When William Hill first posted Champions League futures in 2019, Paris Saint-Germain had the sixth-lowest odds at +900 with Bayern Munich right behind at +1000. Those two trailed Manchester City +320, Barcelona +360, Liverpool +420, Real Madrid +700 and Juventus +800.

For this weekend’s match, Bayern Munich is the favorite at -110, followed by PSG at +230 and draw at +320 (tied after 90 minutes). The total is set at 3.5 goals, with the under slightly favored at -115.

William Hill also had odds posted for the first half, with Bayern Munich at +150, draw at +165 and PSG at +255. The total for the first 45 minutes plus stoppage time is at 1.5 (under -120, over even-money).

Bayern Munich has been on a roll this month, dismantling Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16, crushing Barcelona 8-2 in the quarterfinals and beating Lyon 3-0 in the semifinals. The last time Bayern reached the final was when the team won it all in 2012-13, defeating fellow German club Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski has scored 15 goals in this year’s Champions League, which is two away from Cristiano Ronaldo’s record. Lewandowski also ranks fourth in career Champions League goals, only behind Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Raul Gonzalez.

One Nevada William Hill bettor put $4,200 on Bayern Munich futures at -200 for a total potential payout of $6,300, the biggest Champions League future placed on either team at William Hill.

On the other side, PSG survived a tough Round of 16 affair with Borussia Dortmund, edging them 3-2 on aggregate. After outlasting Atalanta 2-1 in the quarters, PSG cruised 3-0 against RP Leipzig in the semis. This is PSG’s first-ever appearance in a Champions League final.

PSG is led by 21-year-old wunderkind Kylian Mbappe, who starred in France’s World Cup victory two years ago as a teenager, as well as superstar striker Neymar.
