2020 Memorial Tournament Odds: Notable Early Bets Taken on Woods, Rahm

Tiger Woods makes his PGA Tour return this week, as the 2020 Memorial Tournament tees off on Thursday from Muirfield Village Golf Club.

William Hill has odds up for 99 golfers plus the field (all others) up for the event, but all eyes will be on Woods. After opening at 30/1, Woods currently is tied for the eighth-lowest odds at 22/1 to win his record sixth Memorial Tournament, a feat he hasn’t accomplished since 2012. Also at 22/1 are Brooks Koepka and last week’s Workday Charity Open winner Collin Morikawa, which also took place at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas were originally 10/1 co-favorites, however DeChambeau stands alone now at 9/1. Thomas and Patrick Cantlay are right behind him at 12/1 apiece, followed by Dustin Johnson at 13/1.

Besides Woods, another golfer who has seen a sizable odds shift from the opening number is Jon Rahm. Rahm was listed originally at 25/1, where one Nevada bettor put down $1,500 on him for a potential total payout of $39,000. That is both the biggest wager and potential total payout thus far at William Hill for the Memorial Tournament.

Rahm has dropped down to 15/1, tied with the fifth-lowest odds along with Rory McIlroy. Additionally, another Nevada bettor placed $1,250 on Rahm 16/1 for a total potential payout of $21,250.

Woods has seen some notable action as well. The biggest bet on Woods as of now was a Nevada bettor who laid $500 on him at 30/1 for a total potential payout of $15,500.

One long shot who has received a couple noteworthy bets has been Matthew Wolff. A Nevada bettor put $250 on Wolff 100/1 for a total potential payout of $25,250, while a New Jersey bettor placed $104 on Wolff 100/1 for a total potential payout of $10,504. As a result, Wolff’s odds have moved down to 75/1.

William Hill also has 20 head-to-head tournament matchups available for the Memorial Tournament, including Woods (+115) vs. Koepka (-135) and DeChambeau (-120) vs. Thomas (EVEN).
