WILLIAM HILL UNVEILS UNIQUE “20/20 COLLEGE BOWL CHALLENGE”

$50,000 perfect score bonus- $10,000 guaranteed prize money

LAS VEGAS (December 4, 2012) – William Hill Race & Sports Book is unveiling the $10,000 20/20 College Bowl Challenge – the only contest of its kind in Nevada – with bowl season beginning next week.

Each entry costs $20, and players will select 20 games from the 35-game slate, picking the winner against the spread. The contest card will be available at all William Hill books throughout Nevada on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 5, with no limit placed on entries per customer. Entries can be submitted at any time until kickoff of the Pinstripe Bowl at 12:15 p.m. PT on Dec. 29.

The contest can be played at all 75 full-service William Hill sports books in the state, and at all kiosk locations, including those at PTs Taverns.

The winner-take-all format will pay out a $10,000 guaranteed grand prize to the entry to select the most correct games against the spread. If the total amount of entry fees collected exceeds $10,000, then 100% of the additional entry fees will be added to the grand prize money.

As an added bonus, William Hill is offering a $50,000 bonus if the winner can land a perfect 20-for-20 card.

“This bowl contest, it’s something we’ve thought about for a while,” William Hill Director of Public Relations Jimmy Vaccaro said. “It should be a fun contest, and it will be exciting if someone hits the $50,000 bonus to cap off what’s already been an outstanding college football season.

“This contest is not just one-of-a-kind, but it will be fun, because bowl season is just so unpredictable. Plus, a $20 bill gets you action for more than three weeks, which is hard to top.”

The college bowl season officially begins on Dec. 15 with a pair of games, the first of which – the New Mexico Bowl, featuring Nevada and Arizona – kicks off at 10 a.m. PT. The last game on the bowl schedule will be the Jan. 7 BCS Championship, played in Miami between No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Alabama.
